After graduating from Oakfields College under the tutelage of industry professionals such as Roberto Ferrao (Star Wars: Visions, Kizazi Moto) as well as Keratwa Sedidi (Dipopaai Animation) in both 3D Animation and Visual Effects, I then took to travelling and displaying art in galleries as well as street art before moving onto authorships and assisting with a documentary in Russia.
About me
Further Training
Post Production Pipeline:
Under The Refinery’s CEO (Alastair ORR) and CFO (Ariye Mahdeb), I was drastically educated in the Post Production Pipeline is a short amount of time as I was quickly thrown into the deep end and just as quickly learnt to swim.
Quality Control:
Trained under The Refinery’s Head of Quality Control, Mustafa Mamdoo (Good Omens, Noughts + Crosses), I worked on a multitude of projects in terms of finding errors and correcting them in order to deliver a flawless final render. From major things such as VFX errors to the minor details such as seeing to the correct power outlets for the scene’s destination/country. Quality Control is where a trained eye is needed.
Dailies and Editorials:
Trained under Allan Taylor (Resident Evil, The Woman King), I was trained to log, sync, quality control, categorize, back up as well transfer all shoot day footage directly after production had concluded shooting for the day. This meant sudden calls into the studio whether that be at 6 o clock in the evening to 4 o clock in the morning for every day of the production’s filming.
VFX:
Under the Head of Visual Effects at The Refinery, Ryan van den Berg (Hunting Jessica Brok, Blood and Water), I was tasked with undertaking a multitude of Visual Effects work on films and shows alike. These included feats of rotoscoping, compositing, animation to even CGI.
